KanBikeWalk is holding our annual meeting in Manhattan to honor the city’s recent selection as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists.

The paradigm of bicycle culture has shifted in Manhattan. Events that were once scarcely attended are suddenly overflowing with participants. The trails, paths, and roads are well-used year round by commuters and recreational riders alike.

During the Pre-Meeting Bike Ride, we’ll have an opportunity to see first-hand some of the highlights of Manhattan’s bicycling infrastructure, including the Linear Trail, the Moro Street Bicycle Boulevard, and more.

For more information on KanBikeWalk and to join in support of a safer bicycling and walking environment in Kansas, go to: www.kanbikewalk.com

* The Pre-Meeting Bike Ride will be a casual-moderate paced +/-15 mile ride showcasing the bicycle and walking environment of Manhattan, including some of their multi-use trails and a new bike boulevard. Dan Scott will provide some local history and stories behind some of the improvements we will use during the ride.
